Riesling Alsace Eguisheim, Emile Beyer 75cl

Riesling Alsace Eguisheim, Emile Beyer

The Gewürztraminer grapes for this wine are hand harvested from gently sloping vineyards around the picturesque village of Eguisheim. The marly-limestone soils here and warm local climate make this location one of the best in Alsace. After a gentle pressing and light, cold settling the fermentation occurs using native yeasts; the wine is aged on the fine lees for about six months. The wine shows ripe apricot and quince jelly with delicate spicy notes.
