Quinta dos Murças Assobio Branco, Douro
A blend of Verdelho, Gouveio, Viosinho, Rabigato and Códega do Larinho varieties (the blend changes each year) grown on primarily northfacing, high-altitude vineyards planted on schistous and granitic soils. The grapes are harvested by hand and the fermentation is carried out at low temperatures, with light-lees ageing; to develop a wine with a fresh, aromatic nature. The nose shows citrus notes, such as lime, with a touch of passion fruit; the palate is vibrant and lively with a lingering citrus finish.
