What is it?
The Level 1 Award is a one-day course that introduces learners to the basics of wine, with a focus on working in hospitality. Topics include main wine styles, how to taste, wine service and food pairing.
Who's it for?
This is for beginners who have little or no wine knowledge. The course is aimed at those who work in the trade.
Course structure
The one-day course involves a mixture of teaching and tasting, with a 30 question multiple choice exam at the end of the day. To get you started and help support your learning we’ve created some online resources to work through before your course begins.
