About the Wine
Touriga Nacional

Touriga Nacional is a dark-skinned grape variety used to produce some of the finest wines from Portugal. With bold dark-fruit flavours, when drinking can brink some dark chocolate and violet notes.

At the heart of all Esporão projects is the preservation of the environment and biodiversity. They aim to adapt all agricultural activity to organic methods in the next three years. Integrated pest management and better agricultural methods are achieved by gathering data from weather stations, soil humidity sensors and using fully automated irrigation systems. There are over 110 species of animals on the estate including wild pigs, foxes, deer, otters, wild cats, hares, rabbits and birds.
