About the Champagne
This super white Vintage Champagne produced by Taittinger is made in France's Champagne region. Available in 75cl bottles, supplied by Hatch Mansfield. Taittinger Brut Vintage is an inspired wine, made with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes. This cork closed wine is created with added sulphites. Like many wines in our list, this wine is suitable for vegan diets. Vintage Champagnes take on the fuller flavours of rich seafood, creamy sauces and wild mushrooms brilliantly.
Chardonnay can produce quality wines in a wide range of climates, with a real varied style. In cool climates like Champagne or Chablis it produces a lean steely wine with pronounced acidity. In warmer climates it develops buttery, honey notes whereas hotter climates, it's richer in body with the flavour of tropical fruits.

A temperamental thin skinned grape and difficult to grow, when produced of any quality it demands high prices. The thin skin means it's very light in colour body and tannin, it characteristically has searing acidity and full lingering flavours of raspberry, strawberry, cherry, violets and sweet spice.
Champagne Taittinger’s origins date back to 1734 with the founding of the original House. Pierre Taittinger acquired the House in the early 1930's. He had spent time in the Champagne region when serving in the 1st WW. Stationed at the Château de la Marquetterie, he fell in love with the property and eventually purchased the company. Today, the Reims-based House remains owned and actively managed by the whole family headed up by Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger, Grandson of the founder.
