A Côte de Beaune appellation which takes its name from the village of Savigny-lès-Beaune. The appellation covers 239 hectares with only 10% of the production being white wine made from Chardonnay. Both the fermentation and maturation takes place in French oak barrels, with about 20% of the barrels being new. Rich and quite powerful, with the fruit character ranging from citrus to tropical and the finish backed by some vanilla spice.
