About the Wine
This fortified wine is made by Dalva in Douro. Full-bodied, rich but perfectly balanced with soft peppery tannins and a dryish finish. It is created with mosty Blend grapes. You shouldn't find this wine anywhere else, it is exclusive to Matthew Clark. Supplied by C. da Silva Vinhos.
The vineyards of the Douro region, home of the Port denomination, find their expression in the unique, world famous Dalva wines. The wines are produced under exceptional conditions on terraces in the first demarcated and regulated wine region in the world. The grapes are then vinified in the new winery with the latest technologies in the wine sector. It is in then in Vila Nova de Gaia cellars that, year after year, the wines develop character according to the ageing processes.
