Blending past with present, the latest edition of Vini!

Blending past with present, the latest edition of Vini, our quarterly wine magazine, has landed!.JPG

This time of year always feels full of hope. As the nights draw out we’re given the gift of what feels like extra time and with any luck, a little sunshine to warm our faces which have been buried behind scarves for so long.

Whilst we’ve been in hibernation, we’ve been keeping ourselves very busy pulling together the new arrivals to our range and we’ve got a cracking set of events lined up for you to come and discover them at. http://www.matthewclark.co.uk/about-us/events/

Hot off the press, it’s time for us to delve into heritage within wine, and believe me when I say it’s not all about dusty old cellars!

Be inspired by some of the team’s hot picks as we catch up with Simon Jerrome and Judith Nicholson and unearth some corkers within our new additions.

You may have been lucky enough to speak with David Baverstock at our Discover Love Inspire tasting earlier this month. Read more about the history and heritage of the Alentejo region of Portugal and how it influences him and the team at Esporao.

Wine Development Specialist, Keith Moir takes a trip to Knightsbridge to find out how The Park Tower continues to offer contemporary style and glamour in such a historic neighbourhood.

Our new feature ‘Present your case’ see’s Richard Siddle go head to head with Roslyn Storrar from Rocco Venezia as we ask: do laws, legislation and regulations within the sparkling category provide opportunity for styles and regions or do they make it harder for new producers to succeed?

Steeped in history, Chianti producer Ruffino talks heritage and anti-stress remedies with Siobhan Irons.

Head chef, Luke Matthews from Chewton Glen talks about his menu at the hotel and how that interacts with the wine list.

Stephen Cronk, founder of Provence winery Mirabeau chats to me about making new roots over the Channel and building his legacy.

Our Deputy MD, Ian Smith takes a trip down memory lane reminiscing how some of the oldest customer relationships were forged, and we also head over to Contino to speak with Jesus Madrazo, winemaker and son of the founder to discover how this innovative winery balances with tradition.

That’s just the taster…with so many more stories, features and snippets to peruse …pour yourself a whole glass, sit back and enjoy! Click here to view online.

If you would like to receive a copy of Vini direct to your door, just sign up to our mailing list here and we’ll pop every edition out to you. We love writing it, and we’re sure you’ll love reading it!
