The drink of summer

Rose Or Provance

In the recent warm spring days, many have enjoyed the roof terraces, hidden gardens and other outdoor escapes the On-Trade has to offer. We’re are all ready for summer and what better way to enjoy the sun than with a glass of Provence rosé!

France remains the world leader in rosé wine production with nearly 30% of rose wine produced globally. Provence is an incredibly famous region for high-quality rosé and production as well as demand has been steadily growing each year.

A recent addition to our wine list is the Minuty range. The estate goes back to 1936 with only 17 hectares of land. Since then the family has increased the land and high-tech equipment for winemaking over the years.

This family-owned company has always taken quality in high regard and Minuty was the number 1 premium rosé in France, Europe and the Caribbean Islands last year with 5.8 million bottles! They continue improving the quality of the product and are currently in the process of building a brand new bottling and vinification centre with a capacity of 1 million bottles a month to be finished in 2018.

The M de Minuty is a ‘magnificent wine of pleasure’. A blend of Grenache and Cinsault with notes of peach and candied orange. Enjoy this rosé as an aperitif or with food, grilled meat, raw vegetables or other summer food!

Minuty Prestige is a beautifully rounded light rosé wine with very intense aromas of citrus and white flowers. A fresh Provence rosé to enjoy with veal carpaccio, grilled fish or any Provencal food specialities!

My personal favourite is Château Minuty Rosé et Or. This wine shows white flowers on the nose and white peach and grapefruit notes on the palate. This rosé is complex with a beautiful freshness and finesse and is great with seafood, Asian food, strawberry salad with basil or on its own as an aperitif while enjoying the sunshine!

Our range of Provence Rosé wines are as popular as ever they appeal to a wide range of consumers; their flexibility with food being particularly enjoyed. Click here to discover our range.
