London’s Christmas tasting event this year was all about Craft products. Set in the iconic craft setting of London’s Borough Market, we hosted over 40 different suppliers and more than 100 different wines, alongside one of Borough Markets very own traders who served delicious food.
We handpicked some of our favourite craft producers and brought them to London. To us, craft means great products, created by passionate people who really care about every step of its journey. That is exactly what we showed to over 200 guests that attended the event.
Primrose Hill took centre stage in its own caravan bar showing all the different signature serves from 'The Artist', which features Eden Mill gin and the Classic Primrose Hill Tonic, to the crowd favourite 'Paloma' cocktail featuring Villa Lobos Tequila Blanco, agave syrup and the Pink Grapefruit Primrose Hill Tonic.
There was an array of different spirits stands showing products from all over the world. We enjoyed the likes of a whisky and cheese pairing, the cheese of course sourced from Borough Market, as well as Black Cow vodka, Copper Dog whiskey with freshly juiced apples and a hot vermouth serve just in time for Christmas!
Over 100 wines were available to try including the majority of the new Autumn release wines and of course, it wouldn’t be a craft drinks tasting without craft beers and ciders. Alongside beer and food pairing with the Goose Island range, Lagunitas, Yeastie Boys, Meantime and Portobello Brewing Co, to just to name a few were out in force.
Cornish Orchards Mulled cider was a particular hit when the temperature in the market dropped towards the end of the evening! We finished off the day with a raffle, raising £325 for the Napa Valley Community disaster relief fund. Thank you to Terlato Wines who kindly donated the fantastic prize of 12 bottles of Federalist Chardonnay and everyone who bought a ticket.
