International Wine Challenge
The International Wine Challenge (IWC) owned by William Reed Business Media is now in its 34th year. The IWC is accepted as the world's finest and most meticulously judged wine competition which assesses every wine blind and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage. Throughout the rigorous judging processes, each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least ten different judges and awards include medals (Trophy, Gold, Silver, Bronze) and Commended and Great Value awards.
Decanter World Wine Awards
The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is one of the world’s largest and most influential wine competition. Judged by the world’s wine experts, the results provide a comprehensive list of wine recommendations and international stockists.
International Wine & Spirit Competition
Established in 1969, The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) was the first competition of its kind, set up to seek out, reward and promote the world’s best wines, spirits and liqueurs. Now in its 47th year, The IWSC’s relentless pursuit of excellence underpins every aspect of the competition today. What sets the IWSC apart is the formidable reputation of its judging process. Their panels of carefully selected industry experts comprise Masters of Wine, buyers, sommeliers, WSET qualified educators and respected wine journalists. Every single wine is assessed on its own merits within the context of its class. Currently receiving entries from around 90 countries, the IWSC is truly international in its reach and recognition. Their partners around the world, work throughout the year to drive awareness and promote winners to both trade and consumer audiences; an IWSC Award is recognised internationally as a badge of quality.
Sommelier Wine Awards
The Sommelier Wine Awards is a wine competition with a difference, being Britain’s only On-Trade wine competition, it focuses entirely on wines aimed at the On-Trade. Since it started in 2007 it has grown to become the first point of reference for the UK's On-Trade wine buyers as well as the key competition for wines trying to increase their presence in hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants. The judges serve or buy wine in the On-Trade, and wines with general high street distribution are not permitted, except for sparkling and fortified wines, and online-exclusive wines.
