A wine at the forefront of the Chilean cool-climate Syrah revolution, from the coastal reaches of the Aconcagua Valley. It displays a floral nose and complex vibrant palate of black pepper with incense and lively red fruit and dark fruits such as strawberry and blueberry, subtle spice and toasty oak. Hand-picked Syrah grapes from the Manzanar vineyard, a hillside estate close to the Pacific Ocean, are crushed and fermented in stainless steel prior to ageing in 25% new French oak barrels for 14 months.

Errázuriz Syrah, Aconcagua Costa is a delighful wine, made from Shiraz/Syrah grapes. This wine has a cork closure and, like many wines on our list, this wine is suitable for vegan diets. Fresh, savoury, berry-fruit flavours that are excellent with light game, wild mushrooms, rich chicken and pork dishes.

The same grape variety, often referred to as Syrah, Old World and Shiraz, New World. It produces deep concentrated wines, full in body, alcohol and tannin. Deep almost opaque purple colour, loads of black fruit and pepper flavours and aromas. When it develops, or is of high quality it often shows notes of leather, spice, smoke and mint.
