Barbaresco, Enrico Serafino

Barbaresco, Enrico Serafino

The village of Barbaresco, two miles north-east of Alba, stands on a ridge overlooking some of the best vineyards in Piemonte; here the Nebbiolo grape makes well-structured wines with velvety palates. Aged for at least two years, and for half that time in large oak barrels, this wine has an intense nose of ripe fruit, violets and spice.
