I’ve worked for Matthew Clark for over 13 years, and within that time in different sale roles, I joined Matthew Clark as a National Account Exec within the Pub s& Leisure Division, after getting to fully understand the business I was promoted to National Account Manager in the Late Night / Leisure Sector, After proving myself, I ran this division becoming a National Account Director with the support of 5 National Account Managers in 2007. In 2013 I took on a new challenge and became Business Director for Matthew Clark’s Buying Groups, at the same time Festivals and Events came under my remit. My latest exciting chapter began in 2016, when in addition to my National Account business I took responsibility for the New Business North team, the best in the business bar none.
Why do I love the On-Trade?
I think it has to be the people, people still buy from people, and whilst we have undergone huge change in the on trade, relationships still remain a key factor in retaining existing business and winning new business. Combine this with the hugely varying businesses we get to deal with, means the on trade is an ever moving feast. Its quick pace and changing façade means that you never stop learning.
